The hollywood actress has been laid to rest at the private Christmas eve funeral. The family of Brittany Murphy is devastated and have no word to express the shock thy got after the 32 year old actress died of a heart attact on the 20^th of december.

The funeral began on Thursday afternoon and finished in the evening with the  Christian minister and rabbi along with the guests sang “Amazing Grace” at Forest Lawn Memorial Park located in Hollywood Hills.

Brittany’s family said they lost a bright loght that always lit their world is dimmed forever but she will live on in the their hearts. They said Brittany  was a very loving, caring and passionate person and every one around her loved her. She was an artist to the core of her heart and she will never be forgotten as an artist.

A long time family friend Alex ben said that the gathering was very respectful and intimate. Brittany loved Christmas and this was ironic that she was burried at the Christmas eve. Her husband Simon Monjack termed her as the best soulmate and best friend that any one could ever have. He said he have had the most wonderful times of his life since he got married to her in 2007. The gathering also had all her best friends ans cousins who remembered alll the times that they pased with her and all the memorires that they shared.

Brittany freatured in hollywood hit movies like 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Sin City, Happy Feet and so on.

The funeral was attended by few of the media personalities from different magazines and channles and awaited at the gate of cemtary where people like Bette Davis, Gene Autry and Freddie Prinze are burried.

Police are investigating the cause of the death that occurred at her Hollywood Hills residence but suspects no unsusal reasons other than the heart attack. The sudden death  of the actress brought quite a few projects to hault that involved her.

The directors who worked with her described her as passionate actress and a very professional player. We all pray and hope that her departed soul rests in peace and finds eternal  happiness.

One of the most celebrated and talented movie makers of our time Roman Polanski landed in trouble for something that he did back in 1977. The French film maker was recently in a Swiss prison and later was moved to his Alpine Chalet to be under house arrest. Polanski said the letters that he got from his fans and supporters were very soothing and encouraging. He said the letters were “full of comfort and reason to hope.”

Polanski was arrested in the 26^th September at Zurich airport. The arrest was made on a charge that he had sex with a 13 year old girl in 1977. Later Polanski’s good friend and French philosopher Bernard-Henry Levy made this comments public which was the first comment made by the French director after getting arrested. The 76 year old director is now waiting for the decision on whether he will be extradited to L.A, where he is wanted for the crime or not.

He said that, he received numerous messages from his relatives, neighbors and different parts of the world. He said he was grateful to each one of them who understood how painful it is to be locked inside a prison cell, with no one to talk to while you can hear the murmur of human voice outside the cell. The letters brought hope and inspiration to fight the lonely times to him. Ploanski is currently working on his latest film titled “Ghost’ and for this reason he is allowed to work on the movies, he can be visited y guests, can make phone calls and send emails. But there is an electronic bracelet attached to his feet that would monitor all his movements.

It was on the 4^th of December when Roman was moved from a Swiss prison to his Chalet. Swiss authority says, it will be decided early next year, whether to send him to U.S or not. An appeal of dismissing the case was rejected few days back in the California court.

It’s Christmas time. To go with that it’s New Years Eve. It’s time to have fun and go crazy. And to help you do that we have the thrilling Sir Arthur Conan Doyle detective adaptation Sherlock Holmes. The movie has been moderately advertised because everyone knows no American or British will ever miss a chance to get their hero back in the screen.

Initially there was a debate about who will portrait the role of Sherlock Holmes. But the clouds cleared when American sweet heart Robert Downey Jr. was selected as the Sherlock Holmes. The viewers were happy and so was Robert.

The movie has an infrastructure of an adventurous romantic story where Holmes and Watson (played by Law) decides to go their own way but once they go through all the happenings they realize how much they need each other. The movie begins with Watson preparing to move out of the famous 221b Baker street house and prepares to propose Marry and start a proper family life. Holmes for interesting reasons sabotages the marriage and brings him back to the detective game.

The movie takes sharp turn with the revival of dead Lord Blackwood who was convicted and hanged under Watson’s own supervision. Holmes quickly buckles up to find this person and prevent him from capturing the world and he uses his foolproof logical method to do that. In the mean time Holmes’s old affair Irene (Rachel McAdams) comes to the town working with a shadowy boss dealing arms.

If you have seen the movie trailer, you must be confused about how all these can be put together at the end. But remember this is Sherlock Holmes you are talking about. Unless he tells you what’s going on you will never know and when he does, you will be kicking yourself for how could you not see it.

in a nutshell, this movie has all the ingredients of being a great movie and if you have enjoyed it I am sure you have not left the hall disappointed because I am a film critic and I love Sherlock Holmes and I would say I loved the movie.

Another hollywood actor is in trouble. Seems like this year has been very troublesome for the hollywood hot shots. And the latest one is Charlie Sheen. The much talked 911 call from his home was made public by the police. Police received an emergency call form the uomarket Aspen at around 08:30 pm on the 25^th of december. What a timing Mr. Hot Shot!  It was Charlie Sheen’s wife who called 911 to report domestic voilence. Sheen’s wife Brokke mueller claimed that she was being threatened with a knife while she was on the call. And the person who threatened her was none other than her husband Chralie. At that tiem there were people separating those two but she wanted to report the event.

This lead to the arrest of the actor who eventually spent the Christmas alone in the cell. Charlie along with his twin 9 year old sons flew to ski resort and joined his wife for the Christmas. Then god knows for whatever reason he got angry enough to threaten his wife with a knofe. Hw was later arrested with the charges of  criminal mischief, second degree assault and menacing behaviour which combined with charges of domestic violence can make a very strong case against him.

Carlos Irwin Estevez  also known as Charlie Sheen was later bailed at the cost of $5000. He is scheduled to appear in front of the court on the 8^th of february.  Though charlie has denied the charge of threatening his wife with a knife, still things are not looking good for the actor.

But Charlie Sheen’s lawyer Richard Cummins sounds positive and confident about the happenings and says that at the end of the day everything that is ahppening now will be much ado about nothing.

So those of us who are Sheen fans, let’s hope that he is cleared of all the charges and does not repeat the stupid and suicidal acts ever again in his life. Because threatening wife with a knife is never a good idea and specially if you are a hollywood hot shot.

Recently a video tape showed James Cameron snubbing a fan while the fan asked for an autograph from the famous director whose latest movie Avatar has been a sensational hit in the box office. Cameron was heard saying “I don’t owe you a f..ing! signature..get out of my personal space”.  When a part of media is criticising the behaviour of the oscar winner, John Mayercame forward and extended a supporting arm towards the director. John mayer thinks, James was misunderstood and the fan was just another ebay poster guy who wanted to earn some money using Cameron’s autograph. And the fan was also being too pushy which provoked the director to behave rudely.

Mayer added, as the passenger list is not available, any one can know which celebrity is likely to arrive in the airport at what time and they can track them down just like the paparazzi. If what Mayer thinks is right, then celebrities out there should be careful of the steps you take after landing.

There are great ways for the fans to interact with the celebrities. They work together in different concernts and programs. This gives the fans a chance to get upclose and personal with the stars. When they ask for autograph, the celebrities can stop by and sign a few for some people, but when they do not do that, the people tag them as just another shallow hollywood guy who is humble only when there is a movie coming up and they need people to go and watch the movie. These are obviously Myer’s idea interpreted.

Mayer also thinks the media gets way too hyper at the arrival of the celebrities. They would start following them from the moment they would step out of the flight. They would walk alongside the celebrities and keep asking questions regardless to your agreement or mood. Now this could be very irritating and even annoying if you are dealt as a media particle ratherthan a rational human.

The incident with James took a final turn when he got into his car and the fan sudeenly realised that it’s time for him to come out of his normal citizenship attire and do soemthing heroic and expressive. He started shouting insults and cursing James and made himself heard by the crowd.

The point here is Cameron is not an actor who is trained to ahndle all these. That is the reason he does not think like an actor and act like them. So a reaction like this from one of the most talnted directors of our era can be forgiven.
